Set Up Eudora To Check and Send Mail (Mac)

How do I set up Eudora to check and send email?

OR

I just changed Internet Service Providers and now need to change Eudora to check and send differently. How do I change my settings?

SOLUTION:

Setting up Eudora is easy if you have the right information. You will need to look through the information you got from your Internet Service Provider or give them a call and find out the following information. Once you have it, you are ready to set up Eudora. • Your SMTP or outgoing mail server:

• Your e-mail login name:

• Your e-mail address:

Now you are ready to get started!

In Eudora, go to the SPECIAL menu and select SETTINGS.

Step 1. In the Options window, you will see several icons on the left. Select GETTING STARTED.

Step 2. In the USERNAME field, enter the login name given to you by your internet service provider. For example: eudora-user.

Step 3. In the MAIL SERVER field, enter the POP or mail server that was given to you by your internet service provider. For example: pop-server.eudoramail.com.

Step 4. In the REAL NAME field, type your name the way you would like people to see it when they get e-mail from you. For example, John Doe.

Step 5. In the SMTP SERVER field, enter the SMTP or Outgoing mail server that was given to you by your internet service provider. For example: smtp-server.eudoramail.com.

Step 6. In the RETURN ADDRESS field, enter your e-mail address. For example: eudora-user@eudoramail.com.
